Referral partnerships for CPAs, attorneys, financial advisors & family business consultants

Bring us the family you can't fully see. They stay yours.

You see your piece of the family's structure clearly. The trouble lives in the pieces you don't. We map the whole thing, and hand you back the work that's yours, with a clear list of what needs to happen.

Families tend to rethink their advisors at the big moments: a sale, a death, a buyout.
The advisor who helps them through that moment keeps them. The one who didn't see it coming usually doesn't.
Two advisors. One family. The same map.
TWO WAYS TO WORK WITH US

Refer a family, or work the engagement with us.

TRACK 01
Referral Partner

You know a family whose structure is more than you can untangle alone. You make the introduction. We build the map, walk the family through it, and hand the work that's yours straight back to you.

WHO IT'S FOR
—Estate and trust attorneys
—CPAs and tax preparers
—Wealth managers and financial advisors
—Family business consultants
—Bankers and trust officers
You keep the client and the relationship.
TRACK 02
Affiliate Advisor

You want to work on the engagements themselves. Affiliates are licensed professionals we bring into Capital Architecture™ engagements when the map calls for their expertise.

WHO IT'S FOR
—CPAs who work under our engagements
—Financial planners and retirement plan specialists
—Estate attorneys, engaged directly by the family
—Valuation and insurance specialists
You do the work you're licensed for, on a map that's already built.
HOW A REFERRAL WORKS

You stay in the loop from the first call to the handoff.

01
You make the introduction
A short call with you first, so we understand the family and what you've already seen. Then an introduction on your terms: a joint call, an email, or you hand them our number.
02
We build the map
Every entity, trust, and agreement on one page. We ask you for what you already have, so the family isn't asked for the same document twice.
03
You're in the room
With the family's permission, you join the walkthrough. You hear the findings when they do, not secondhand.
04
The work comes back to you
The handoff list names what's yours to draft, file, or place. Nobody starts from scratch, and nobody goes around you.
OUR COMMITMENTS TO YOU

Your client stays your client.

Every partner gets these in writing before the first referral.

01
We don't solicit your client for what you do.
If you're their CPA, we don't take the tax work. If you're their attorney, we don't bring in another one. It's in writing.
02
You see what we recommend.
You get the handoff list, and you hear the findings before the family acts on anything that touches your work.
03
Their confidentiality is yours too.
What the family shares with us stays inside the engagement, under the same rules you work under.
04
No surprises on compensation.
Anything that involves money changing hands is written down and disclosed to the family before they decide.
HOW COMPENSATION WORKS

15% of first-year fees. One time.

Qualifying partners receive 15% of everything the family pays in the first 12 months of the engagement. No recurring fees after that, and no fine print.

WHO QUALIFIES
CPAs, insurance professionals, bankers and lenders, and family business consultants, with any approval your regulator or employer requires. Bank employees need the bank's written approval, and the fee may be paid to the institution.
CPAS: YOUR CHOICE
Take the referral fee, or build your own statement of work from the handoff list and do the work yourself. Referral fees can't be paid on clients you audit, review, or compile for.
WHO DOESN'T
RIAs and securities-registered advisors, and attorneys. Their compliance rules don't allow referral fees or shared revenue. The work the map identifies still comes back to you.
HOW IT'S PAID
As the client pays, on fees collected in the first 12 months. Nothing recurring after that. Disclosed to the family in writing before they sign, under a written partner agreement.
FOR ADVISORS ONLY

How many families in your book are one event away from needing this?

Pick your profession and describe one client or your whole book. The calculator shows what a map would surface for the family first, then what the referral program means for you.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN PARTNERS
—Licensed and in good standing, with professional liability coverage
—Serves closely held business owners or the families behind them
—Willing to work from a shared map instead of a private one
—Picks up the phone when another advisor on the family's team calls
GTCAS CERTIFICATION · COMING

Want to build the map yourself?

We're developing a certification for licensed professionals who want to practice the method with their own clients, with an optional license to use the brand.

About certification

Start with one family.

Think of the client whose structure you've been meaning to untangle. Bring them to a 30-minute call, just the two of us first, and we'll tell you honestly whether a map would help.
